The man behind Slovenia’s iconic winery Movia. Kristančič is among the few who modernized and catapulted Slovenia’s winemaking to international notoriety.
BUILDING A LEGACY
Movia set a new benchmark for biodynamic viticulture and skin-contact winemaking. Wine critics and collectors alike point to Aleš as one of Europe’s most forward-thinking grape growers and transformers of grape to wine. Founded in 1820, Movia Estate, encompasses land in two contiguous and renowned wine regions – Brda, Slovenia, and Collio, Italy – but it pioneered a wine legacy all its own.
Quite deep golden color. Dry on the palate with lovely complexity. A touch of tannin and lots of refreshing acidities, dandelion flowers, honeyed and raisiny, with a very long finish.
VELIKO BELO

The nose is so complex, varied and beautifully fresh. On the palate hints of honey, wildflowers, blackcurrant, and orange peel. Very, dry medium bodied on the palate, with vibrant acidities and touch of tannins.

Primarily growing Rebula, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Malvasia, Tocai Friulano, and Cabernet Sauvignon – all without the use of herbicides, pesticides, or fungicides.
