In 1977 Vittorio Moretti founded Bellavista, making it one of Franciacorta’s most authoritative estates. The name is that of the hill on which the winery stands, surrounded by the beauty of a landscape that looks out to the lake, the plain and the nearby Alps, set in the beauty of a morainic hillside amphitheater. Bellavista is synonymous with elegance and finesse, with passion for a land that generates wonders: Franciacorta. Bellavista’s philosophy is about maniacal precision, simplicity and an intimate connection between man and land. Every detail is carefully pursued and every gesture, even the smallest, is considered crucial. Today, Francesca Moretti, the family winemaker, supported by Richard Geoffroy, leads the team of winery and vineyard technicians. The idea is the one that has constantly guided her father Vittorio over the years: “excellence is a goal to be pursued on a daily basis, and to be accomplished in the craftsmanship of gestures, in the constancy of production, in the intimate commitment to the founding values of an enterprise. Our work is not only to produce wine, but also to tell the story of women and men who nurture the vineyards every day, the story of a land that demands much and can also offer so much, of the nature that renews itself with constancy and determination, of a utopian dream that has become reality.
