The Petra winery and estate was conceived with the intention of bringing together some of the greatest pioneers of Italian wine to create a new benchmark for Super Tuscans, in other words, wines made international grape varieties grown and vinified on Tuscan soil. The vineyards are located in a pristine, “wild” part of Maremma along the Tuscan coast where biodiversity is vibrant. The estate is 100 percent organic certified. Organic conversion was overseen by leading Italian expert Ruggero Mazzilli, one of the most respected organic crusaders in the world today. Vineyard management is overseen by Marco Simonit, a pioneering agronomist who has developed new and revolutionary approaches to pruning. The winemaker is Beppe Caviola, renowned for his work in Barolo and Barbaresco. The winery’s bio-architecture winery was designed by famed Swiss architect Mario Botta. The vineyards where the grapes are grown for these wines are located in an undeveloped area of the Tuscan coastline where the landscape’s natural biodiversity helps to create wines vibrant in their aromas and flavors. A focus on sustainability aims to preserve the terroir’s “wild” character.
Bright ruby red. On nose it reveals fresh aromas of black cherries, violets, blueberries, peonies, mineral hints and nuances of Maquis shrubland. The taste is fresh, sapid, light, pleasantly fruity, subtly sapid, with gentle, well-tailored tannins.

Ruby-red color in the glass! On the nose the aromas reveal fresh hints of black cherries, violets, blueberries as well as seductive mineral hints and nuances of Mediterranean herbs! On the palate good structured but fresh and spicy, pleasant fruity with soft tannins and a delicate finish! Cheers!
Easy to enjoy because of low tanins. But this wine has enough flavor of oak, berries. So very interesting and good enough to enjoy under xx euros 🙂
