Yuko Kobayashi
District Sales Manager – Japan
Yuko was born in Okayama, 200km west of Osaka, Japan, and raised in Chiba, east of Tokyo. After completing her legal studies at the Waseda University of Tokyo, she decided to move to Italy to learn Italian. She lived and studied in Palermo, where she was met with welcoming and warm people and fell in love with Italy and Sicily in particular.
Upon returning to Japan in 2009, she began working for a leading Italian foods and wine importer, covering mainly the sales positions until 2023.
Being very passionate about wine, she got her sommelier license form the JSA (Japan Sommelier Association) and is now currently studying for her WSET level 3 certification.
